The MSME Sustainable ZED Certification Scheme is designed to roll out in two distinct phases, ensuring a comprehensive and inclusive approach to elevating MSMEs across various sectors.
This scheme comprises for 2 Phases:
Phase 1: This phase focuses exclusively on manufacturing MSMEs that hold a UDYAM Registration certificate. These enterprises will be the first to adopt the ZED principles, setting a benchmark for quality and sustainability in manufacturing.
Phase 2: In the second phase, the scheme will expand to include both manufacturing and service sector MSMEs. These enterprises must be registered under the respective state government protocols and systems. This phase ensures that a broader range of MSMEs can benefit from the ZED Certification, promoting excellence across the entire MSME spectrum.
By adopting ZED principles, MSMEs can significantly improve their product quality and operational efficiency, making them more competitive in both domestic and international markets.
The certification process guides MSMEs in refining their systems and processes, ensuring they meet high standards of operational excellence and sustainability.
The scheme encourages the implementation of lean manufacturing techniques, which help in minimizing waste, reducing production costs, and improving resource utilization.
Through continuous improvement and adherence to ZED standards, MSMEs can ensure their products and services meet international quality benchmarks.
MSME Competitive (LEAN) Scheme is an internationally acclaimed pathway to transform any organisation into a sharper, more competitive, and profitable enterprise — simply by reducing waste.
This scheme comprises for 3 Levels:
Level 1: Basic: Self Learning Through E-Modules (2 Months): Every MSME that embarks on the journey of Lean (Basic, Intermediate, Advanced) will have to take a “Lean Pledge” before undertaking the journey of implementation of lean tools and techniques.
Level 2: Intermediate: Lean Consultant will Implement Lean Tools like S5, Kaizen, Visual Control, etc (6 Months): The intent of taking a Lean Pledge is to take a “pre-commitment” or a solemn promise by MSMEs to uphold the values of Lean Practices and Philosophy in their functioning and to urge them to move ahead on the journey of Lean.
Level 3: Advanced: Consultant will implement Advanced Tools like VSM, SMED, POKA YOKE, etc (12 Months): After taking the Lean Pledge, the MSME can apply for handholding of its units depending on the need and level of preparedness and interest of MSME unit. Lean Scheme can be implemented by MSME units in the above three levels.
